The mission of the Rhode Island Volleyball Camp is to provide players with a quality experience, both athletically and socially, in a safe, supervised & FUN environment. The staff, instruction, facilities, equipment, activities, itinerary and commitment to the camper's experience are the keys to the Rhode Island Volleyball Camp's success.

We offer Two 4-Day Sessions of Camp in July.  BOTH Sessions offer camps for boys & girls grades 5-8 as well as an All Girls Camp for grades 7-Graduated Seniors.  Within the All Girls camp for 7-Graduated Seniors, campers may attend as Individuals, Teams, Commuter or Overnight, Beginner to Elite Levels. 

2010 Summer Camp Dates We apologize but we are still awaiting confirmation of our camp dates.  We have put in a request, months ago, but there are several camps trying to fit their camps in as well.  We will hopefully have confirmation by the end of this week.  If it helps you at all, we are trying to get  July 25-28 & July 29-August 1.  Although it may end up being a Friday to Friday instead of Sunday to Sunday for 2 - 4 day camps. Thank you for your patience.

JUNIOR DAY CAMP -  (GIRLS & BOYS)  Session 2 (July 23-26)  The Junior Day Camp is for GIRLS & BOYS entering grades 5 – 8 with limited or no volleyball experience.  Camp is offered during both sessions however, if we do not get the numbers in both sessions the camp may be combined into 1 session.  The decision will be made at a later date and you will be notified.  If we have to combine the camp into 1 session and you can not attend you will be refunded your full camp fee.  Campers will be assigned to courts according to their ability level.  Campers will take part in 7 Instructional Sessions.  If the number of campers permits we will scrimmage during the last session on the last day.  Sessions will run for 2 - 2.5 hours.  Campers will be taught the fundamental skills involved in playing volleyball, serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking, & digging.  Camp Itinerary is available by clicking on the link to the left.  Campers will receive Lunch each day.  (Discounts Available Click on link to left)  

FEE: $ 255

Fee Includes:  All Instruction, Activities, and Lunch each day.  Campers who register by June 1st will receive a 2009 Camp T-shirt, Water Bottle, & Neck Wallet.  Our order for these items are placed June 1st.   Availability of supply can not be guaranteed for applications received after 6/1/09. The DEVELOPMENT CAMP - (GIRLS ONLY) SESSION 1 (July 19-22) & SESSION 2 (July 23-26).   The Development Camp is an all day camp, for GIRLS ONLY entering grades 7 through Graduated Seniors. This camp is is offered during both sessions 1 & 2.  for players with skill levels ranging from Beginner to ELITE. Elite level players are encouraged to sign up for our Elite Section. Campers will receive approximately 25 hours of volleyball during their stay. Campers will take part in a total of 7 intense 2 - 3 hour instructional sessions. Optional Extra Help Sessions & Setter Training Sessions are available daily.  Sessions are followed by breaks in which campers eat their meals and have free-time. In the evenings, except on the first day, campers will participate in 2 hours of pool play which will culminate in a Festival Format Championship Playoff the final day of camp. Players are coached to utilize the new skills they have learned. Following the Evening Games, Activities have been planned to encourage campers to relax and socialize. Activities include: Staff Match & Ice-Cream Social Night, Swim Night (providing pool is open) & Camp Follies Night. After the activities campers return to the dorm, halls are checked, and lights are out by 11:30pm. On the last day, campers will be recognized in an Awards Ceremony for their Individual and Team Achievements.

Campers may sign up to attend the Development Camp in the INDIVIDUAL, ELITE, or TEAM Sections of the camp. Please see Elite & Team Camp sections for details about Restrictions and registration procedures.  Campers may stay OVERNIGHT on campus or COMMUTE.  OVERNIGHT campers receive all meals and 3 nights of housing, while COMMUTERS receive lunch & dinner only with no housing or breakfast.
